About Us
The South East Coaching Group attracts members from across South East England including Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex, Kent, Berkshire and Middlesex. We have members from Bucks and Herts and further afield. We are an inclusive community for all coaches – a professional home for those seeking personal development and mutual support. We are known for our friendly relaxed atmosphere and as a source of learning as well as a network that affords building of new relationships, support and friendship.
We continue to grow and flourish and offer a range of in person events, webinars and network events. We have special interest groups and resources available to our members. Currently our in person events are run at the Trinity Centre in Guildford.
We started life as a smaller Guildford Coaches Group, founded by Kim Gregory and Angela O’Connell in 2007. We have expanded over the years and have stayed true to our mission of supporting coaches in their professional practice. The South East Coaching Group is a membership organisation run by members for the benefit of members. It is not a registered company but operates as a not-for-profit club, with a constitution agreed by the members. The direction of the Group is run by an elected Board of Directors who are volunteers so have no legal or financial liability, but are setting the strategic direction on behalf of members. Our view to the future is to engage further with our wider coaching community to offer support, professional development, networking and resources.
“I’ve been coming to the SECG for a few years now and it is always a welcome part of my month: an opportunity to meet like-minded people who are warm and generous. And an opportunity to learn something new or a refresher on something useful.”
