Sound Therapy for Coaches with Mel Loizou
This session will explore the power of sound. Sharing her experiences of combining both sound therapy and coaching, Mel will give the group an opportunity to journey with sound using a variety of instruments including a symphonic gong and Tibetan singing bowls.
Sound therapy has been around for thousands of years and takes many different forms. Since training as a Sound Therapist in 2022, Mel has been looking at how she can combine sound therapy and coaching to help her clients, whether that be 1-2-1 or in groups.
Whilst sound therapy is acknowledged as an effective tool in holistic circles, it is yet to be accepted in the corporate world and Mel is on a mission to change this. During the session Mel will share her knowledge of sound therapy as well as the results from the numerous case studies she has undertaken since qualifying as a practitioner. Participants will have the opportunity to work through the intention setting process Mel has devised for weaving together coaching and sound before enjoying their own unique sound journey.
Please note: To make the most of the sound journey Mel would recommend lying down (although it is not mandatory). Therefore, if you can, please bring along a yoga mat or something to lie on as well as a blanket, pillow, and cushions – anything that will make you more comfortable. Please also wear comfortable clothing.
By attending this session, you will:
- Understand what sound therapy is and how it may be able to help you and your clients.
- Work through an intention setting process that facilitates the use of sound therapy in a coaching session.
- Experience a sound journey using a variety of instruments.
